JB-AI Productions LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Paychunk mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name (optional)
• Authentication credentials (securely managed by Firebase Authentication)

Budget and Financial Data

To provide our budgeting services, we store:

• Paycheck amounts and dates you enter
• Budget categories and allocations you create
• Transaction records you add manually or via receipt scanning
• Receipt images you choose to scan

Device Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• App version
• Unique device identifier (for analytics)

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide Services: Process your budget data, scan receipts, and display your financial information
• AI Receipt Processing: We use Google Gemini AI to extract text and data from receipt images. Receipt images are processed but not stored by Google's AI service.
• Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and fix bugs
• Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and provide assistance

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services:

• Firebase Authentication: Manages your login credentials securely
• Cloud Firestore: Stores your budget data with encryption at rest
• Cloud Storage: Stores receipt images you upload

All data is transmitted using industry-standard TLS encryption.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Google Firebase (hosting, authentication, storage), Google Gemini (receipt processing)
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

5. Your Privacy Choices

• Access: View your data within the app at any time
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data via the app settings or our data deletion page
• Export: Premium users can export their data to CSV/PDF

6. Crashlytics, Analytics & AI Processing

Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability. Crashlytics collects:

• Crash reports and error logs
• Device information (model, OS version)
• App state at the time of a crash

Crash reports are retained for 90 days per Firebase default retention policies.

Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. Analytics collects:

• Session data (start time, duration)
• Anonymized user ID
• Device model and OS version
• App version and build number
• Locale and region
• Screen views
• Custom events (receipt scans, budget creation, transaction adds)

Analytics data is anonymized and retained for 14 months per Firebase default retention policies.

Google Gemini AI (Receipt Processing)

When you scan a receipt, the image is sent to Google's Gemini AI servers for text extraction and data parsing. Receipt images are processed in real time and are not retained by Google after processing is complete. The extracted text data (merchant, date, items, total) is stored in your Paychunk account.

7. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA:

• Right to Know: You can request what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you.
• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information. Use the in-app account deletion feature or email us at [email protected].
• Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

8. Data Retention Policy

• Active accounts: Your personal data is retained as long as your account remains active.
• Account deletion: All personal data is deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Backups: Removed within 90 days of account deletion.
• Analytics data: Anonymized and retained per Firebase defaults (14 months).
• Crash reports: Retained for 90 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Paychunk is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
